Hello! My name is Julian Karagounis and I am from Rochester Hills, Michigan! If I was with you, I would follow this up by raising my right hand and pointing to the lower half of my thumb :D

I’m quite a fun-loving person! I get that from my twin sister, Vanessa, my partner in crime. We are nothing alike, her being a Plant Biology major, and me…..well, an acting major! My parents, Dino and Joyce, gave my sister and me the gift of a loud and proud Greek family, so there was never a shortage of fun in my house. 

 

In high school, I was involved in concert band, marching band, choir, and theatre! Through my experiences in school, I learned to love the person I am when I am performing. That passion led me to the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, where I am earning my BFA in Acting. At UWSP I have had the privilege of studying with faculty and students who have helped me strive to hone my craft and create art that I am proud of. 

 

Whenever I am back home, you can catch me working at the "Emagine" movie theatre chain where I have worked for five and a half years! I am a proud Emaginer and can pop popcorn better than anyone you know!

My friends will tell you that I am a student 24/7, always looking to learn something. Even when I relax, I will turn on my favorite James Dean movie and watch in awe! So if you need a good play to read, reach out! Something that I pride in myself is my willingness to learn and also my own personal library! I believe that training and education are essential for molding a passionate actor into an impactful one. Therefore, I am always on the hunt for new books and plays to read so if you have any recommendations, let me know!
